Terms and Conditions
Terms of use for d2o.ro and the booking, payment and cancellation conditions for Door2Outdoor events.
Version in force since October 2026. In case of discrepancies, the Romanian version prevails.
1. Who we are
www.d2o.ro is operated by DZO TRAVEL INT. S.R.L. (“Door2Outdoor”, “we”, “the organiser”), registered at 7 Mioriței Street, Bacău 600188, Romania, tax ID 51587180, Trade Register no. J2025024934005. Contact: door2outdoor@gmail.com, phone +40 753 289 883.
Door2Outdoor is the direct organiser of the events presented on the website (merchant, not an intermediary); it collects payment and issues the invoice for the services booked.
The agency holds tourism licence no. 3234/03.06.2025. Amounts paid by travellers are protected against the agency's insolvency by insurance policy no. IF-i 5016, issued by German Romanian Assurance S.A. (GERROMA), 11 Emil Gârleanu Street, District 3, Bucharest, tel. +40 21 321 74 28, office@gerroma.ro, valid 01.05.2026 – 30.04.2027. The traveller is the beneficiary of the policy and may contact the insurer directly in case of insolvency.
By using the website and making a booking you accept these terms and conditions. Please read them before booking.
2. Use of the website
All content on the website (texts, images, graphics, logos, code) belongs to Door2Outdoor or its partners and is protected by copyright law. It may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without our written consent.
We make every effort to keep event information (programme, prices, availability) accurate and up to date. We reserve the right to correct obvious display errors; in that case we will contact you before the booking is finally confirmed.
3. Booking
Bookings are made online on the event page: choose the date and number of seats, enter your contact details and choose a payment method. Seats are held temporarily while you complete the order (about 15 minutes).
A booking is confirmed once payment is received (in full or the deposit, as shown). You receive the confirmation by email, with the booking reference. The invoice is issued by Door2Outdoor and sent by email.
By booking you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. For minors, the booking is made by a parent or legal guardian, who consents to their participation and provides the necessary information (including health information relevant to the activity).
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Romanian lei (RON) and include the services listed under “What's included” on each event page. Services under “Not included” are paid separately by the participant.
For international expeditions priced in euro, payment is charged in RON at the exchange rate shown on the website at the time of booking. Exchange differences applied by your card-issuing bank are outside our control.
Payment methods: online card payment via the licensed processor NETOPIA Payments (card details are neither received nor stored by Door2Outdoor), or bank transfer to the account shown at checkout. For bank transfers, the seat is held for up to 5 business days; if payment is not received in this time, the booking may be cancelled automatically.
Where an event requires a deposit, the balance is due by the deadline stated on the event page or in the confirmation email. Failure to pay the balance on time may lead to cancellation of the booking, with the deposit retained.
4b. Provision of services (delivery)
Door2Outdoor does not deliver physical goods. Services (trips, camps, courses, expeditions) are provided on the date, time and meeting point stated on the event page and in the confirmation email. Practical details (schedule, meeting point, equipment) are sent to participants before departure by email or phone.
5. Cancellation by the participant
You may cancel your booking at any time before the event starts. Cancellation fees, calculated on the total price, are: more than 60 days before, the deposit paid (10% if the event has no deposit); 59 to 30 days, 50%; 29 to 15 days, 75%; less than 15 days or no-show, 100%. For one-day hikes, cancelling at least 72 hours before departure gives a full refund or rescheduling. You may transfer your seat to another person at least 7 days before. Full details are in the contract with the traveller.
No fees apply if you cancel because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at the destination that significantly affect the event. Refunds are paid within 14 days.
Under Romanian law (art. 16 l) of GEO 34/2014), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date or within a specific period.
You can send a cancellation request online at any time using the Cancel booking / withdrawal form (also linked in the footer of every page), or by email. You receive an email confirming that your request was registered.
6. Cancellation or changes by Door2Outdoor
We may cancel or change an event if the minimum number of participants is not reached, in case of dangerous weather, avalanche risk, restrictions imposed by authorities or other situations that endanger the group's safety. In that case we offer an alternative date or a full refund of the amounts paid for the event.
On the trail, the guide may change the itinerary, turn the group back or decide that a participant may not continue if safety requires it. Such decisions do not give rise to compensation.
7. Participants' obligations
Participants must ensure that their health and fitness match the difficulty of the event and inform the organiser before departure of any relevant medical condition. Participants must bring the required equipment listed on the event page, follow the guide's instructions, the rules of protected areas and local laws, and must not consume alcohol or prohibited substances during activities.
For international expeditions, participants are responsible for valid travel documents (passport, visas). We recommend travel insurance covering mountain activities and rescue/evacuation at the altitude of the event.
8. Risks and liability
Outdoor activities (hiking, mountaineering, skiing, climbing, cycling, kayaking, etc.) involve inherent risks, which participants knowingly accept. Door2Outdoor works with trained guides and safety protocols but is not liable for damage caused by failure to follow the guide's instructions, undeclared health conditions, loss of or damage to personal belongings, or force majeure.
9. Photos and video
We may take photos and videos during events and use them on the Door2Outdoor website and social media. If you do not want to appear in public materials, tell the guide or email door2outdoor@gmail.com and we will remove images in which you can be identified.
10. Personal data and cookies
Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy and cookies according to our Cookie Policy.
11. Complaints and dispute resolution
For any complaint, email door2outdoor@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days. You may also contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, www.anpc.ro) or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) via reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes not settled amicably are resolved by the competent courts in Romania.

We may update these terms; the version applicable to a booking is the one published on the website on the booking date.
